And, back to Costa Brava.

I'm back where I was in January. Not my plan at all. Just following work.

It is a part of Spain that fascinates me. I love it here even though I really wasn't expecting to. Completing murals for a small hotel, then back to Granada. I think.

From Costa Brava in January to...

Melilla
Morocco
Algeria
Spain
France
Italy
France
Germany
Austria
Slovakia
Czech Republic
Germany
Belgium
France
Spain

Plus the little bits like Monacco. All slowly and carefully. Nice trip!

Hola!

I found this blog somehow through a forum about the VDLP-camino. I am thinking about walking it in spring. I want to ask you some things about it... Thinking of bringing nothing but the most essential and a tent so I don't have to use the albergues. Maybe I will travel to Marroco before or just hang around the south of Spain. Would be nice to hear from ya. Sorry to write this in a comment, but I don't have your mailadress. Mine is moa_sol@hotmail.com. One Love. M

Hi,

VDLP remains my favourite route after walking Five different ways.

I started from Granada (walking Camino Mozarabe until I joined VDLP at Zamora - I went wrong).

I had no map, no guide, spoke very little Spanish, and left my home with no more than my backpack and €3. It was the way I wanted to do it.

It was difficult at times. Very difficult, but it's all relative. The coffee tastes better, the rewards are greater!

I went slowly. Spent weeks in the cities enroute. Finally reached Santiago de Compostela after about 9 months (very slowly!).

I still consider it the most valuable 9 months of my life for many, many reasons.

I'll email you so you can ask more detailed questions if you would like to.

All the best, and ¡Buen camino!

John.

Perhaps it was only 3 months.

All routes have all merged a bit :D
